About

The Pale Pumpkin began on a sunny October day in 2024 when, having nothing else to do, I decided on a whim to shoot some 16mm film I had sitting in my fridge. I dragged along Ricardo Luna to be my subject, and we ended up improvising the beginning of the film. Eventually we shot the rest in a much more planned fashion. The ending of the film was cut together first, and submitted as its own entity to Portland Horror Film Fest 2025 under the name Somethin' in the Pumpkin, where it went on to win Best Bumper.
